The mission of the Community Roots Society is to build a stronger, more connected community by supporting locals and participants through sustainable agriculture and education. We aim to create a welcoming hub where people can learn, share resources, and grow together.

What services or programs do you offer?
Our offerings are ever changing, especially as the seasons change. This year we will offer gardening talks to help people learn the basics and offer assistance in getting your garden going.
This summer we are working on a father and kids camping trip into the heart of Mahone Bay. An afternoon of setting up camp, basic fire safety, games, and food. The evening will include stars, camp fire songs and stories. Enjoy an outdoor breakfast with closing ceremonies for campers that show the best in setup, team spirit, and leadership.

Do you work with other nonprofits or businesses?
Yes, we are working to collaborate with local organizations to enhance our programs and reach. The Mahone Bay Food Bank will be on our list of organizations to send regular donations to.
Our own pay what you can farm stand will also be available.
